The Chair of the World Green Building Council, Kevin Hydes joined Toronto Mayor, David Miller and Scarborough-Agincourt Councillor, Norm Kelly along with Tridel President, Leo Delzotto today to announce the selection of Tridel𠏋 Metrogate condominium community, in Scarborough as one of Toronto𠏋 first projects to be included in the new Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) for Neighbourhood Development (ND) Pilot Program.

Toronto, Ontario... Starting in the summer of 2007, a new approach to building healthy neighbourhoods will launch with Tridel𠏋 newest and quite original Metrogate community. To be located just north of the 401 at Kennedy Road in Scarborough, this expansive 𤨩aturally Better� green community will be built on a 17-acre site and when complete, will be home to more than 2,000 families. Most exciting of its many attributes is that Metrogate will be one of the first communities to be considered for the new LEED Neighbourhood designation.
