Tridel’s Ted Maulucci, CIO will be the featured speaker on Wednesday January 30th, 2008

Ted Maulucci is the Chief Information Officer for the Tridel Group of Companies. These companies include construction, legal, energy management, property management, rental, furnished suite, and home automation. Mr. Maulucci has been with the Tridel Group for over fifteen years, leading the information technology group for the last ten.
Mr. Maulucci has an undergraduate degree from the University of Toronto in Mechanical Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration from the Schulich School of Business with a specialization in Real Property Development. Mr. Maulucci is a founding member of the CIO Executive Council and has appeared in numerous IT publications.
The IT group at Tridel, lead by Mr. Maulucci, has developed numerous unique software solutions to meet the needs of the various companies in the Tridel group. Microsoft has recognized and highlighted some of the technology that has been developed through a case study and many of the technology solutions that have been developed have been featured in publications. The group also won a “CIPA Award of Excellence” in 2002 for the creation of software that revolutionized the legal closing process and a CIPA Gold Award in 2006 for Organizational Transformation with the Zero Invoice initiative. Mr. Maulucci also holds a seat on numerous industry and corporate advisory boards.
Mr. Maulucci started his career at Tridel working on site as construction superintendent after graduating from the University of Toronto with a degree in mechanical engineering. Over the next three years, he was involved in the construction of several high-rise condominium projects. He then pursued a master degree in business administration at the Schulich School of Business, leaving Tridel for two years. After graduating, he returned to Tridel and again worked on site as a superintendent and project manager on a small townhouse community. When this project was completed, he assumed a role at the head office and began working on creating and deploying new technology. Mr. Maulucci worked actively in all departments across the company and worked with a software team to create systems that could integrate operations. The success of this software development and deployment lead to the promotion of Mr. Maulucci to the leader of the software development group within Tridel. The software that was developed gained industry recognition and won several awards leading to the promotion of Mr. Maulucci to the CIO (Chief Information Officer) position. At this time, his role expanded to take responsibility for the network and hardware IT infrastructure. Mr. Maulucci continues to be Tridel’s CIO and works actively to bring innovation and new ideas to the Tridel group.
